At ullhaexa.com, I explore the many ways textile work connects with life: from knitting and crochet to spinning and weaving, from ancient stitches to modern design, from plant dye pots to potted balcony greens. It’s about process as much as product. About research, ritual, and the quiet beauty of everyday making.

What kind of posts fit here?

This isn’t a niche blog. It’s a web of themes, loosely held together by curiosity, craft, and care.
Guest posts can reflect your experience, your knowledge, or your questions. Some possible directions:

• Knitting, crochet, spinning, or weaving stories – techniques, traditions, reflections

• Creative process and design – where ideas come from, what they become

• Textile archaeology, historical inspiration, reinterpreting the old in new ways

• Urban gardening, wild herbs, healing plants, seasonal practices

• Thoughts on healing, slowness, overwhelm, or finding meaning in the everyday

• Ways of learning, researching, making, remembering

• Quiet resistance, body knowledge, shared rituals, small joys

Practical, poetic, reflective, or raw – your voice is welcome here, as long as it’s honest.

Guidelines for submission

• Please submit original work (unpublished elsewhere)

• Recommended length: 800+ words – but flexible if it fits

• A personal tone is encouraged – imagine writing to a fellow maker

• You may include 1–2 relevant links (e.g. to your work or resources)

• Light editing may occur, always with care and in dialogue

Feel free to include your own images, or I can choose suitable ones to accompany your post.

Alternatively, if you’d simply like to place a link to your project, shop, or article within a fitting post or resource page, that may be possible too – provided it’s relevant and in line with the values of this site.

This space is small and independent, and I approach collaborations on a case-by-case basis.
